The Project Year 2019
In 2019 the project group will deal with the topic "Life of Refugees in Host Communities: Reducing Inequalities and promoting peaceful and inclusive societies". The project team has 16 members. From each university, two students, one scientific assistant and one professor from the field of social work take part. During three project mobilities (trips to Lebanon, Jordan, and Germany), the project group learns about and discusses the local refugee situation and the national strategy to cope with related social challenges. A special focus is on the field of social work. Project results will be discussed in scientific papers. They will identify needs for action of social work in the context of flight and migration.
The international summer school in Jordan will be an opportunity for professional and intercultural exchange on "International Social Work and Migration" as well as a mutual learning experience for 18 other social work students of FHWS, GJU, Yarmouk University and Lebanese University.
